Geely celebrates 40th anniversary with UK special offers

Customers who purchase a new Geely Starray EM-i or EX2 by the end of November 2026 will receive a free first service.

Geely customers will also receive the chance to win a free trip to China, with flights, accommodation, and all expenses paid for

Geely customers can take advantage of free servicing, and even win a trip to China, as the marque celebrates a big birthday.

November 2026 will see Geely mark its 40th anniversary. The company started out as a manufacturer of refrigerator parts, located in Taizhou, Zhejiang.

In 1994, Geely moved into motorcycle construction, and was responsible for building China’s first scooter. Finally, it entered the automotive industry in 1997, becoming the country’s first privately-owned car manufacturer.

Geely has only been selling its own vehicles in the UK since October 2025, but the marque is inviting British customers join its 40th anniversary bonanza.

For every Geely Starray EM-i hybrid SUV or Geely EX2 electric hatchback registered by the end of November 2026, customers will receive a free first service. There is also the chance to win an all-expenses paid trip to China.

‘Delivering exceptional value to customers’

Geely 40th Anniversary Offer

“Celebrating the 40th anniversary of our parent company is a proud moment for everyone connected with Geely Auto UK,” said managing director Michael Yang.

“From its beginnings in 1986, the company has grown into a global automotive leader. The free first service and the chance to win a trip to China will not only reward our customers, but also help them connect with the heritage, innovation and global scale behind the Geely brand as we celebrate this important milestone together.”

To be in with a chance of winning a holiday to China, customers need to order, register and take delivery of a new Geely EX2, EX5 or Starray EM-i by 30 November 2026.

Twenty winners will receive a five-day trip to China, including flights, accommodation, food and drink.

A strong first year for Geely in Britain

Geely 40th Anniversary Offer

Along with selling vehicles under its own brand name, Geely owns a number of other important automotive marques.

It acquired Volvo Cars in 2010, having previously purchased the LEVC taxi firm. Lotus was added to the company’s portfolio in 2017, along with Proton.

Since entering the UK market in its own right, Geely has become one of the fastest-growing car brands in the country.

More than 15,000 new vehicles have been registered since October 2025. And Geely is on-track to have 100 retail sites by the end of this year.

The brand also plans to launch three new models during 2027, including the Monjaro family SUV shown at the Paris Motor Show earlier this month.
