Kia has confirmed UK prices and specifications for its trio of new electric GT models, including the EV4 GT hot hatchback.

Following the launch of the EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT at the 2026 Brussels Motor Show, Kia now boasts five GT vehicles across its range.

The South Korean manufacturer’s first GT-badged cars were sportier versions of the Ceed and ProCeed, launched back in 2013. However, it wasn’t until 2022’s EV6 GT that Kia gave an battery-powered car the GT treatment.

All three new GT models make use of Kia’s 400-volt architecture. This includes an 81.4kWh battery pack and dual-motor all-wheel drive, plus simulated ‘Virtual Gear Shifts’ – as pioneered by the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N.

As ever, all cars come with Kia’s renowned seven-year, 100,000-mile warranty. The high-voltage drive battery is covered for eight years.

Kia EV4 GT hot hatch starts at £49,345

The new EV4 GT hot hatchback is expected to be the most popular Kia GT model, being designed and manufactured in Europe, with European customers in mind.

UK prices for the EV4 GT start from £49,345. It enters a competitive electric hot hatch marketplace, rivalling the Cupra Born VZ and recently announced Volkswagen ID.3 GTI.

Kia will hope the EV4 GT’s 288hp and 345lb ft of torque – good for a 0-62mph time of 5.6 seconds – will win over car enthusiasts who might otherwise have been sceptical about EVs.

The EV4 GT is also the first C-segment hot hatchback to feature the ‘virtual’ gearbox. It replicates the sound and feel of a six-speed manual transmission.

When Kia launched the EV3 compact SUV, it rapidly became the marque’s top-selling electric car, also picking up awards such as UK Car of the Year 2025.

The EV3 GT (pictured in white above) is – by a small margin – the most affordable Kia GT model, priced from £48,695. It offers the same powertrain as the EV4 GT.

For those who require a larger electric SUV, the EV5 GT is the biggest of Kia’s 400-volt performance models, and boasts the most power – with an output of 301hp. EV5 GT prices start from £54,295.

Orders for all three new Kia GTs can be placed now, with the first customer deliveries expected before the end of the year.
