Two new special editions celebrate 30 years of the Skoda Octavia

The Skoda Octavia Edition 30 and vRS Plus both come with extra equipment, marking three decades of the popular family car

Available in both hatchback and estate forms, the Edition 30 and vRS Plus will be available to order in October 2026

Skoda has announced two special editions of the Octavia, celebrating the 30th birthday of its popular hatchback and estate.

Across four different generations, Skoda has made almost eight million Octavias since 1996. The car has underpinned the company’s success as a part of the Volkswagen Group.

For a model focused on value for money, it should come as no surprise to learn the two anniversary editions offer plenty of extra equipment.

The new Octavia Edition 30 is offered in both five-door hatchback and estate guises. In the current Octavia lineup, it sits between the entry-level SE Technology and mid-range SE L versions.

Noted to have a ‘specially curated specification list’ to maximise value for money, the Octavia Edition 30 is available with three different engine options.

Buyers can select the 1.5-litre eTEC mild-hybrid petrol engine in 116hp and 150hp guises, or choose a 150hp 2.0-litre TDI diesel. All come with Skoda’s DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission.

Standard on the Edition 30 are a set of 17-inch ‘Ares’ alloy wheels, rear privacy glass and a rear-view camera. Its interior boasts ‘Lodge Design’ fabric trim, heated front seats, adaptive cruise control, wireless smartphone charging and a 13-inch media display with satellite navigation.

Prices for the Octavia Edition 30 start from £32,080 in hatchback form, or £33,065 for the more practical estate.

For those who prefer the hot vRS version of the Octavia, the new vRS Plus brings more equipment and exclusive exterior colours.

The vRS Plus also features a premium Canton sound system, along with LED Matrix headlights and heated front sports seats.

Buyers of the vRS Plus get a choice of Tangerine Orange or Cosmic Green paint colours. Both are reserved solely for the Plus version, although existing shades of Royal Green and Dragon Skin can also be chosen.

Beneath its bespoke paintwork is the same 265hp 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine found in the regular vRS, along with a seven-speed DSG transmission.

Skoda dealerships are already accepting orders for the Octavia Edition 30. The vRS Plus will become available from mid-October 2026.
