A special Mercedes-Maybach S-Class sedan designed by NBA superstar LeBron James will be auctioned next month.
The ultra-luxurious four-door is the identical twin to the Maybach S 680 owned by LeBron, and is customized to his personal taste.
Curated via the Mercedes-Benz Manufaktur Made to Measure program, the Maybach is described as a ‘deeply personal vision’ for the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.
Although James will retain his own personal Maybach, the replica will be sold by Gooding Christie’s at the Retromobile show to raise money for good causes.
Proceeds from the sale will benefit the LeBron James Family Foundation and its “I Promise” program. This organization helps students and families in James’ hometown of Akron, Ohio.
A custom ride fit for a king

The customization of LeBron’s Maybach began with the choice of exterior paint, with the four-time NBA Champion selecting a Manufaktur-exclusive non-metallic light ivory hue.
Continuing the theme, the same paint color appears on the Maybach’s 20-inch forged alloy wheels.
For the first time on a Maybach, the car’s traditional exterior V12 emblem has been replaced with a bespoke badge featuring James’ personal crown logo.
The same “King James” crown appears throughout the luxurious interior, which is finished in “Stormy Weather” blue Nappa leather with porcelain contrast stitching.
A discreet signed badge on the center console includes the coordinates of Akron, Ohio, as a tribute to James’ hometown – and the location of his community foundation.
Giving back to the community

Following the announcement of the special auction car, LeBron James said: “The chance to design my own customised Mercedes‑Maybach was something I never even dreamed of as a young kid growing up in Akron.
“To now have the opportunity to uplift my community and the families we serve through this auction means everything to my Foundation as we continue to build an ecosystem of support that allows them to live out their dreams as well.”
The Gooding Christie’s sale of the LeBron-designed Maybach will take place at Retromobile New York, which is the U.S. edition of the famous Retromobile show in Paris, France.
The inaugural Retromobile show in the United States will be held at the Javits Center in New York City, from Thursday 19 November to Sunday 22 November 2026.
Ahead of the auction, the LeBron James-designed Maybach will be displayed at Mercedes‑Benz Manhattan from 9-16 November.
