What do you get if you cross a baby buggy with an Italian supercar? A brand new collaboration between Silver Cross and Lamborghini could provide the answer.
Known as the Reef AL Giallo Travel System, the new pushchair is the latest product created by the two companies in their ‘Super Stroller’ series.
According to Lamborghini, the Reef AL Giallo translates ‘the brand’s unmistakable design DNA into a modern parenting context’.
Said to be at the ‘intersection of performance and craftsmanship’, the Reef AL Giallo boasts ‘precision engineering, bold geometry and uncompromising attention to detail’.
A pram with sports car handling
Lamborghini has worked with the Silver Cross team to incorporate the Italian marque’s signature design details into the pushchair and carrycot system.
The stroller features ‘angular forms, faceted surfaces and a dynamic stance’, along with Lamborghini’s distinctive yellow (Giallo) detailing.
Although there is no miniature V12 engine to propel the Reef AL Giallo, Lamborghini does insist the pushchair’s qualities include ‘balance, precision and driver confidence’.
Equipped with large all-terrain wheels and exposed independent suspension, the Reef AL Giallo is arguably closer in spirit to the Lamborghini Urus SE SUV than the marque’s supercars.
Supercar leather and suede included
More Lamborghini influence is found in the materials used for the Reef AL Giallo, including a genuine leather bumper bar with an embossed Lamborghini logo.
The pushchair seat has more Italian leather details and embossed suede trim, while the brake pedal is styled to look like one inside a Lamborghini.
Included with the Reef AL Giallo are a carrycot, pushchair seat, two rain covers, a sun sail and even a cup holder.
Just 500 examples will be sold worldwide, denoted by a special limited-edition plaque on the basket of the £2,995 pushchair.
The Reef AL Giallo is compatible with car seats. However, Lamborghini does not mention if it fits inside the luggage compartment of one of its supercars when folded. We suspect not.
