Ineos has announced a new special edition of its Grenadier 4×4 for the 2027 model year, this time with a nautical theme.
The Helmsman is the first in a series of bespoke versions of the Grenadier – claimed to be inspired by ’adventurous spirit’ and the ‘elements it was designed to tackle’.
Available in both Grenadier Station Wagon and Quartermaster pickup forms, the Helmsman is designed to reflect a nautical lifestyle.
The striking Whiteout Blue metallic paint pictured here, combined with a contrasting white roof, will be the Helmsman’s signature look.
Don’t call it a Defender

The blue and white colour scheme certainly gives the Grenadier a more-than-passing resemblance to an original Land Rover Defender. Other paintwork options include Eldoret Blue and Scottish White, with the roof available in black or white.
Key features for the Helmsman include a Dark Exterior Pack that comprises a black front grille, dark underbody protection and matt-black roof rails.
It also has 17-inch alloy wheels with a diamond-cut finish, privacy glass and a rear access ladder for the Station Wagon.
Inside, there are oyster-coloured inserts for the black leather heated seats, carpet floor mats, ambient lighting and front parking sensors.
Helmsman is only the first special Grenadier

Sagree Sardien, global sales director at Ineos Automotive, said: “Built to work hard and play even harder, the Grenadier is in its element when recovering a boat or transporting kayaks to the coast.
“With this in mind, we have combined popular design features from previous limited editions with new oceanic hues to deliver the ideal 4×4 for watersports enthusiasts and seafarers.
“After three quarters of double digit growth, it’s clear that our model lineup evolution is focused on bringing new customers to the brand who share our spirit of adventure.”
Prices for the Ineos Grenadier Helmsman start from £70,995, and orders can be placed now.
Ineos will only sell the Helmsman for a limited (and undisclosed) period of time, before production moves on to another special edition Grenadier.
