Jaecoo and Omoda buyers can get a free home EV charger

A new collaboration with Octopus Energy should make life easier for those buying an electric Jaecoo E5 or Omoda E5 SUV

Customers can choose between a free Octopus Energy home charging wallbox, or £1,000 of public EV charging credit

Drivers purchasing a new electric Jaecoo or Omoda can receive a home EV charger as part of the deal.

A new offer in collaboration with Octopus Energy applies to private buyers of the Jaecoo E5 and Omoda E5 electric family SUVs.

It means customers will get an Octopus Energy smart EV charger, worth up to £1,029, for free. Home installation is included, too.

For cases where a home EV charger is not practical, or needed, customers can opt for £1,000 of credit to spend on public charging via Octopus Electroverse instead.

Given the dramatic heights reached by petrol and diesel prices during 2026, the Jaecoo and Omoda offer is another incentive for drivers to go electric.

Free home wallbox or charging credit

Prices for the Jaecoo E5 begin from £27,505 in Pure trim, while the Omoda E5 starts at £33,065 in Knight specification.

The Jaecoo E5 can cover an official, WLTP-tested range of up to 248 miles. The Omoda E5 is capable of 267 miles.

When customers place an order for their Jaecoo or Omoda, the dealer will make a referral to Octopus Energy for either the free home wallbox or public charging credit.

The deal includes an Octopus Energy Charge wallbox with an untethered connection as standard. Customers can also choose an alternative wallbox supplied by Octopus Energy, and pay the difference if above the £1,029 offer price.

When choosing the free charging credit, owners will receive a one-time voucher code by email. This can then be applied to the Octopus Electroverse smartphone app to add £1,000 to their account.

Aiding the ‘wider ownership experience’

Jaecoo Omoda EV Charger Offer

Victor Zhang, managing director of Omoda & Jaecoo UK, said: “Choosing an electric car is only one part of moving to EV ownership; how you charge it is just as important.

“We want to give customers a useful choice from the outset, whether that means having an Octopus charger installed at home for free or putting £1,000 towards public charging through Electroverse.

“With pump prices as unpredictable as they’ve been this year, that’s real money back in drivers’ pockets. As our electric line-up grows, we’re continuing to look at the wider ownership experience and the practical things that can make running an EV easier day to day.”

To qualify for the charging deal, customers will need to place an order for their new Jaecoo or Omoda by 31 March 2027.
