In its quest to fill every niche, Audi has created the Q8 SUV. It’s a ‘coupe’ version of the Q7, designed for those who value style above practicality.

So while the Q7 boasts seven seats, the Audi Q8 offers space for five and a smaller boot. Prices start from around £68,000, while the sporty SQ8 weighs in at well over £80,000.

New for 2020, Audi will launch an RS Q8, complete with a turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine producing 600hp. It’s the most powerful SUV in Audi’s history, with an ability to hit 62mph in 3.8 seconds.

More sensibly, the Q8 is offered with a choice of two 3.0-litre V6 engines: a petrol and a mild-hybrid diesel. The SQ8 gets a 4.0-litre V8 diesel producing 435hp.
