There’s been no shortage of good news coming from Kia over recent years – it’s a brand on the up and its cars are proving popular with new and, increasingly used buyers alike.

This success is proven by the success of its official used car scheme: last month, it beat its target by a whopping 21 per cent.

Of course, September is always a good month for car dealers – new car sales thanks to the plate change are usually mirrored within the used market.

Even so, by the end of September Kia’s used car scheme had already sold 7100 cars since the start of the year – that’s already 86 per cent of its yearly target.

The approved used car scheme was launched in 2009 and has seen record sales every year since.

There’s strict guidelines for any Kia sold through the scheme, meaning buyers can buy in confidence. All approved cars are sold with:

  • Full service history
  • 88 point check by a qualified Kia technician
  • Experian checked to ensure there’s no outstanding finance
  • 60 day or 1000 mile exchange plan
  • One year’s European roadside assistance
  • Seven day drive away insurance

And the seven year warranty that Kia is known for? It’s topped up, so even used car buyers will have seven years before worrying about costly breakdowns.
