Range Rover Evoque convertible will be 'the most capable convertible in the world'

Land Rover has said that its new soft-top Evoque will be ‘the most capable convertible in the world’ when it goes on sale next year.

The firm has released a video of the Evoque convertible tackling tough terrain at its Eastnor Castle estate in Herefordshire.

Land Rover chief engineer, vehicle integrity, Mike Cross, said: “Land Rover prides itself on being a class leader when it comes to all-terrain capability and the Evoque convertible is no different. Thanks to a combination of innovative engineering and the application of advanced technologies, the Evoque convertible will deliver a dynamic and assured SUV experience that has been tested around the world.”

Plans to build an Evoque convertible were confirmed at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, but we won’t see one on the metal until next month’s LA show.

It’ll go on sale in the UK in spring 2015, with prices expected to start at around £40,000.
