The V60 proves Volvo still knows how to deliver a great estate. Prices start from around £35,000 and rivals include the BMW 3 Series Touring and Audi A4 Avant.
There are three core trim levels: Momentum Plus, R-Design Plus and Inscription Plus. There are also two standalone models: a fast and efficient Polestar Engineered plug-in hybrid, plus a Cross Country off-road version.
Standard equipment includes climate control, a 9.0-inch touchscreen, LED headlights, park assist and heated leather seats. R-Design offers a sporty appearance and lowered sport chassis, while Inscription delivers enhanced luxury.
Regardless of trim, the Volvo V60 can’t offer the dynamic abilities of its German rivals. Instead, revel in the soft suspension, supremely comfortable seats and excellent safety rating.
The majority of V60s are front-wheel drive, although four-wheel drive is available.
Aside from the T8 hybrid, the engines aren’t particularly inspiring, so we’d opt for the entry-level D3 2.0-litre diesel.
