Petrol-powered versions of the Seat Mii were offered in the past, but the Mii Electric is now the only version sold in the UK.
It costs £20,300 after the government Plug-in Car Grant is deducted, with PCP finance deals available from around £250 a month.
As a result, the Mii Electric is one of Britain’s cheapest electric cars.
There’s only one trim level and it comes packed with equipment. Standard kit includes 16-inch alloy wheels, a five-inch colour screen, DAB radio, smartphone integration, heated front seats, rain-sensing wipers, cruise control, lane assist and rear parking sensors.
A 36.8kWh battery pack provides up to 160 miles of range on a full charge. In the city – the diminutive Mii’s natural habitat – the official range stretches to 222 miles.
Rapid charging to 80 percent takes an hour, while using a home wallbox charger requires four hours to reach 80 percent.
If you never intend to venture beyond the urban sprawl, or your commute is short enough, the Mii is easy to recommend. It’s easy to drive and even easier to park.
However, other compact electric cars, such as the Vauxhall Corsa-e, offer a broader range of abilities for not a lot more money.
