The first trailer for The Grand Tour has been released – showing Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May’s adventures for the new Amazon Original show for the first time.
And it looks funny. Very funny.
Up to now, we’ve only seen stills and spy shots of the new show, which sends the famous ex-Top Gear trio on road trip adventures in cool locations across the globe such as Johannesburg and California.

- The Grand Tour: fans from more than 100 countries want to visit Whitby
- Top Gear vs The Grand Tour: which presenters had the best cars?
Our first look at the show itself suggests it’s going to closely follow all what made the three so compelling on Top Gear, only on a much bigger and grander scale.
We won’t spoil it: watch it for yourself. There’s only one fractured arm, one car dropped from a crane and, as Clarkson says, “one minor fire”. But the three presenters are travelling across four continents on their first ‘grand tour’, meaning we’ve got plenty to look forward to from the multi-million-pound new show.
Indeed, Amazon proudly tells us it’s been filmed in 4K Ultra High Definition: the first episode will be launched on 18 November 2016 on Amazon Prime Video: after then, new episodes will be released every Friday for 12 weeks.
If you’re an Amazon Prime member, you’ll be able to watch The Grand Tour whenever you want, through the Amazon Video app – on smart TVs, mobile devices, Amazon Fire TV, Fire TV Stick, Fire tablets, on Xbox, PlayStation, Wii, Wii U and through the web. Phew.
Clarkson, Hammond and May haven’t finished filming for The Grand Tour, either. Soon, they’ll be taking the surely soon-to-be-iconic tent to the North Yorkshire town of Whitby. Tickets are already many times oversubscribed. Will you be there?
