Ssangyong has teased its new small crossover SUV based on the XIV-Air and XIV-Adventure concept cars, and revealed that it’ll be called the Tivoli.
Due to go on sale in Korea in January, and arriving in the UK by summer 2015, the Ssangyong Tivoli will compete with the likes of the Nissan Juke and Renault Captur.
The Korean carmaker says the Tivoli embraces Ssangyong’s new design language, while the interior offers a stylish and contemporary look.
The Tivoli takes its name from the Italian town near Rome, and replaces the X100 project name it’s been known as so far.
It’ll be an important model for the brand, which has previously had a reputation for its agricultural 4x4s and pick-up trucks – but has recently made advances in refinement with its existing Korando crossover.
