Move over Batmobile, there is a new superhero car of choice in town: Batman will now be getting behind the wheel of, er, a Jeep crossover.
Yes, the legendary American off-road carmaker has been announced as the official car partner of the highly anticipated superhero film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.
Spoiler alert: The film will feature Batman’s alter ego Bruce Wayne driving a Jeep Renegade in one of the movie’s key scenes, demonstrating its “class-leading off-road abilities” over… the on-road streets of Metropolis.
There’s more, though. In order to maximise publicity for the upcoming film, Jeep UK is launching a neat online advertising campaign in collaboration with the filmmakers.
To mimic the clash between two of the world’s most iconic superheroes, Jeep has created an online game called ‘Battle of the Renegades’ which invites users to choose a Renegade to save civilians from an impending catastrophe.
As an added incentive, Jeep will give fans the chance to get a sneak peek of previously unseen vehicle footage in a special trailer that is only viewable in the game.
Participants will also have the chance to win a range of prizes, including live themed driving experiences and cinema tickets to Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, as well as a range of other related digital content.
Jeep is celebrating 75 years as one of the world’s most iconic car companies and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is out in cinemas on March 25, 2016.
