Company car drivers and environmentalists alike will be queuing up for a slice of the Skoda cake, with the launch of a green Octavia hatchback model.
The Skoda Octavia Greenline is powered by a 110hp 1.6-litre TDI engine which emits just 85g/km CO2 while returning 88.3mpg.
Eco technologies such as low rolling resistance tyres inflated to a higher pressure than standard keep the CO2 emissions down, resulting in free road tax and a BIK rate of 13%.
When coupled with the Octavia’s bargain list prices, this makes it one of the most affordable larger cars for company car drivers.
As standard, the Octavia features a stop/start system across its range. In addition, the GreenLine features brake energy recuperation which saves energy normally lost during braking and uses it for battery recharging.
Order books for the new Skoda Octavia GreenLine are now open, with prices starting at £20,150. Deliveries begin soon.
