Skoda has launched Tour de France limited editions of its Yeti, Octavia and Superb models to celebrate the two-wheel race starting in the UK.
Designed with the keen cyclist in mind, the Tour de France models will come in a choice of red, white or blue, with Tour de France badging, waterproof seat covers and bike wheel bags. Customers will also receive a centenary edition of the Rouleur Tour de France book and a competition entry to win a VIP Tour de France experience.
Skoda will be making 198 examples of each model – the same number as the amount of riders taking part in the race.
Prices start at £23,490 for the Yeti based on the Outdoor SE 2.0-litre TDI 140 4×4 model. Buyers of the Skoda Yeti Tour de France get additional spec including sat-nav with DAB radio, keyless entry and start, floor mats and an internal bike rack.
The Skoda Superb TdF is priced from £23,490 and is based on the estate Outdoor 2.0-litre TDI 140 4×4 and has the same extras as the Yeti, along with a space saver spare wheel and boot net. Superb buyers won’t be able to opt for the red colour – it’s white or blue only.
The Octavia TdF, starting at £24,290, has also the same additions as the Yeti and Superb, as well as roof bars and a roof-mounted bike carrier instead of an internal one.
With the race starting in Yorkshire on 5 July, Skoda will be showing off its cycling credentials a week before at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Skoda’s stand will feature a cycling simulator challenge and a chance to win a VIP Tour de France experience.
