Rolls-Royce is going to reveal its first ever SUV, the Cullinan, on Thursday 10 May – and to help promote the midday online launch event, the firm’s at last released the first official teaser.
It doesn’t give much away, naturally. It’s a rear tail light, and that’s it. But it is our first undisguised look at the Cullinan, and the Goodwood-based luxury car firm says it’s one of three teasers we’ll see this week ahead of the reveal.
Rolls-Royce has also teamed up with National Geographic in an adventure called ‘The Final Challenge’. It worked with National Geographic photographer Cory Richards on a journey to remote parts of Scotland, the UAE and the U.S., in a camouflaged Cullinan.
The intention was to prove how “highly capable on all types of terrain” the first-ever Rolls-Royce 4×4 is. This is an SUV that likes to get its wheels dirty, is the message: we’ll be able to see that from midday tomorrow, 9 May.
The official world debut of the Cullinan will begin at 12pm midday (BST) on 10 May. Expect the usual launch razzmatazz – and as it’s strictly an online-only event, viewers can expect a few surprises and a lot of theatre.
You might want to schedule an early lunch this Thursday, for a first look at the SUV that’s going head-to-head with the Bentley Bentayga and Range Rover in a three-way British luxury 4×4 face-off…
