It’s no secret: Porsche is developing a new hardcore Cayman GT4 model, which is expected to debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show in March.
But, in a new video about Porsche Classic, has the firm scooped itself?
The intriguing sight of a yellow Cayman boasting an enormous rear wing has certainly roused the interest of enthusiasts.
The mysterious Cayman also seems to have big wheels, big brakes and, if you really squint, what could be a ‘Cayman GT4’ badge on the engine cover.
It looks pretty convincing to us. For a car that’s eagerly anticipated and has already been leaked in unexpected ways, could this be Porsche getting in on the new car scoop angle itself?

Porsche Cayman GT4: 450hp
The new Cayman GT4 is expected to easily be the hottest junior Porsche coupe yet, with some predicting up to 450hp.
Delivering this will be the first turbocharged engine for the Cayman: the 3.8-litre twin-turbo flat-six will also power the new generation of forced induction 911s too.
To go with its large rear wing, the new Porsche Cayman GT4 will have an aggressive front spoiler and enlarged air intakes in the side panels to feed the extra air required by the engine.
The interior will be relatively stripped out and focused, following the template set by the 911 GT3 and GT2.
Porsche wants to keep GT2 and GT3 for the 911 range, establishing GT4 as the high-performance series for its junior sports cars.
