A challenge to find the most striking new SEAT Leon has been won by a dealership in Middlesbrough.
The King of Leon competition challenged SEAT’s dealer network to create the most striking Leon possible, using genuine SEAT accessories.
Three creations were shortlisted, before it was put to the vote among dealers.
And, with 61% of the votes, this was the winner… created by Jennings SEAT and led by franchise manager Craig Johnson, a dyed-in-the-wool SEAT enthusiast and creator of the Leon fan site LeonOC.com.
It’s been dubbed the ‘S-Tech’, based on a Leon FR 2.0 TDI 184 in Alor blue (the same colour as MR’s former long-termer), with parts from the new SEAT Sports Styling Kit (rear bumper, diffuser, twin rear exhausts and side skirts). It’s also got 18-inch alloys finished in gloss black, as well as matching door mirrors, diffuser, spoiler, number plate surround and front valance. The twin black viper stripes finish off the sporty look.
iPad comes as standard
Inside is pretty standard, but the S-Tech does include an iPad in the £2,000 price over a standard model – a saving of £1,500 over the cost of individual parts.
SEAT head of service and parts, Nigel Griggs, said: “We’ve been really pleased with the response to this competition from our dealers, which was a bit of fun designed to encourage creativity among the network – while highlighting the customisation possibilities for the fantastic new Leon.
“The resulting cars have ranged from the sublime to the…slightly less so. Well done to Craig and the team at Jennings for coming out on top.”
