Suzuki has released this picture of its all-new Vitara SUV ahead of its Paris Motor Show 2014 debut in October.

Based on the Suzuki iV-4 concept, first shown at last year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the Vitara will rival the likes of the Nissan Juke, Renault Captur and Ford EcoSport.

Details of the new Vitara are sparse, but Suzuki promises a range of petrol and diesel engines that will offer low CO2 emissions and competitive fuel economy figures.

Sticking to its Japanese off-roader roots, the 2015 Suzuki Vitara will be available with optional Allgrip intelligent 4×4 – but front-wheel drive versions are also expected.

And, to prove competitive in a segment favoured by the image-conscious, Suzuki says customers will be able to customise their car with a number of colour and trim options.

When the Vitara goes on sale in spring 2015, it’ll sit below the SX4 S-Cross in Suzuki’s model range, with prices expected to start at around £12,500.

We’ll be reporting live from this year’s Paris Motor Show, where we’ll find out more details on the 2015 Suzuki Vitara, as well as other new SUVs including the Land Rover Discovery Sport and Volvo XC90.
