Pagani Zonda crashed in West SussexA Pagani Zonda hypercar has crashed on a dual carriageway in West Sussex near the south coast, after allegedly taking part in a supercar convoy.

The Zonda was travelling on the A27 westbound at Tangmere, at 7.42am on Sunday, October 21st. This is near to the Goodwood Motor Circuit in Chichester.

It crashed with the central reservation, say the police, “causing significant damage”. The Sussex force estimates the one-off Zonda to be worth around £1.5 million.

PC Peter De Silvo from Sussex Police said: “We believe the Pagani was travelling in convoy with some other super sports cars from Worthing to Chichester but no other car was at the scene upon police arrival. Thankfully the driver of the Pagani was uninjured.”

He also asked for help from the public: “We are appealing to anyone who saw this car driving on the A27, we are hoping someone would remember as it is so distinctive.” An online response form has been set up: Sussex Police are asking people to ‘quote serial 300 of 21/10’.
