The multi-platinum pop star (and 2009 The X Factor runner up) performed songs from his recently-released fourth album, Never Been Better; he was joined by a nine-strong band and a lightshow crew.
One of Britain’s most popular singers even drew fans from France and Austria to BMW World for the performance.
Described by BMW as an exclusive concert attended by enthusiastic fans, it may sound unconventional but it’s actually a demonstration of how diverse BMW World – BMW Welt in Germany – has become.
Opened in 2007 within skipping distance of BMW HQ and the Munich Olympic Park, the $220 million site is well known for its vehicle handovers (of BMWs and, from 2012, MINIs and Rolls-Royce) and boasted nearly three million visitors in 2013.
The site also holds culture, arts and entertainment events though, in a dedicated Event Forum. Around 450 external events are run each year, with 45,000 of that three million attendance total visiting for congresses, seminars, film premieres and events ceremonies.
Olly Murs, it seems, is thus just the latest in a long list of star performances…
