Mitsubishi has announced PCP offers for its new Eclipse Cross crossover SUV, ahead of its UK launch in January 2018. Keen buyers can pre-order the new model from £199 a month.
The three-year PCP deal commands a 5.9 percent APR interest rate, and Mitsubishi will also chuck in £750 towards the deposit. On an Eclipse Cross 2, the customer needs to find £4,550 in deposit to take up the offer; the optional final payment is £11,244.
The low monthly payments are aided by the strong retained values recently awarded to the Eclipse Cross by CAP HPI.

Business users, meanwhile, can also get an Eclipse Cross for £199 a month, plus VAT, on contract hire; again, it’s a three-year, 10,000 miles a year deal, for which the company needs to chivvy up an advance rental of nine months’ payments.
Mitsubishi’s even offering the Eclipse Cross to Motability customers from launch. Those receiving the Disability Living Allowance need to find just £399 advance payment to get into the entry-level model.
Not that the base car is stripped out, Mitsubishi is keen to stress. All models get climate control, alloys, DAB radio, LED running lights, reversing camera and a touchscreen Smartphone Display Audio that does both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
A five-star Euro NCAP crash safety rating is aided by standard radar-controlled Forward Collision Mitigation and a lane departure warning system. And if that’s too basic, 3 and 4 trims are available on top of 2 grade.
The launch engine range is limited to just one motor, a 1.5-litre turbo petrol, with either a six-speed manual or eight-speed CVT auto; the latter’s offered in all-wheel drive guise as well as the regular front-drive setup. If you’re desperate for diesel, you’ve a little longer to wait; that follows later in 2018.
