One lucky enthusiast has become the first in the UK to collect a new-generation Nissan Qashqai.
That’s because it’s number one of 2007 first-off-the-line limited edition Premier models.
Frankie Hipwell-Larkin is the founder of the Nissan Qashqai Owners’ club and placed his order at WKB Nissan in Waterlooville within hours of the car’s official unveiling in November.
He said: “I’m absolutely delighted. I’ve been looking forward to the launch of the new model for a long time and now it’s here, and I’m able to drive it away, it’s fantastic.
“I launched the Qashqai Club to provide a forum for owners to get together, chat and share information and it’s really clear to see that Nissan really listened to our 7,500 members when developing the new Qashqai. That’s terrific.”
The Premier edition is only available to previous customers and based on the Tekna. It only comes in black, with 290 coming to the UK.
Frankie added: “Knowing my model is number one of 2007 makes it extra special and is a nice bit of added kudos.”
