Good news for music-loving MINI drivers (unless you’re a Taylor Swift fan) – you’ll now be able to access your Spotify playlists through the car’s infotainment system.
The carmaker has teamed up with Spotify to add the app to its bank of third-party services available to MINI drivers, including GoPro, Facebook and Twitter.
It means you’ll be to access the 20 million songs available to Spotify users, transfer them to personal playlists, and enjoy them in the car.
For the system to work, you’ll need an iPhone (4s or newer) with the free Spotify app – no premium subscription required, insists MINI.
Simply plug your iPhone into the MINI Connected system and enjoy access to Spotify’s full catalogue of music.
MINI’s not the first manufacturer to offer Spotify integration – Ford and Volvo also provide it. And if you haven’t got an iPhone, don’t fear, Android users will still be able to stream music from Spotify using Bluetooth.
