Auto Express readers have voted the MG6 the Best Handling car in the UK in the 2014 Driver Power survey.
50,000 car owners voted in the annual survey and the MG6 came out top in the handling category with a 98.11% approval rating.
That’s more than half a percentage point better than the Porsche 997 911.
It succeeds last year’s handling category winner, the Porsche Cayman, and joins a Driver Power handling hall of fame that also includes the Mazda MX-5 and Subaru Impreza.
The handling win is not the only success for the MG6 in the 2014 Driver Power survey, either: it also scooped a top 10 placing in the overall percentage ratings, coming in ahead of the Toyota Prius and BMW 1 Series in sixth place overall.
This made it the best-performing British-built car on sale – quite a feat, given how the Nissan Qashqai, Toyota Auris and Honda Civic are also built here.
“The MG6 marked the dawn of a new era for the British brand and has proven very popular with owners,” said Fowler.
We’ve said all along here at MR that the MG6 handles well. Now, it seems, Brit car buyers agree…
