The firm was meant to be teasing us with images of the new 2016 car’s wonderful-looking interior, as seen above. However, it seems a few sketches, digitised renderings and full-size models also conveniently found their way into the workshop.

At first glance, this image of two designers looking at a headlight seems innocuous enough. But look more closely…

… What’s that? Why, yes, an E-Class mood board! Look closer still…

… And lo, there’s the production-ready front end of the new E-Class, expected to be revealed at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show in January. Good-looking car with more than a welcome hint of the S-Class, no?

And there’s more. Behind these two designers looking at a seat is what appears to be a full-size E-Class, maybe even a pre-production testing hack.

But the biggest giveway of all? The digitised rendering of the new E-Class that’s somehow found its way into the workshop behind these two designers looking at pieces of trim.
