Mercedes-AMG GTMercedes-Benz has confirmed launch prices for the new Mercedes-AMG GT, with the entry 462hp GT costing from £97,195.

Ordering has opened today (13 November) for the new two-seat GT car, with initial deliveries starting in April 2015.

However, these early cars won’t be that £97k GT – initial stocks will be of either the £110,495 GT S or the £122,745 GT S Edition 1. As the 510hp GT S is expected to be the best-seller anyway, fans shouldn’t be too upset.

The base GT arrives late in 2015.

All UK Mercedes-AMG GT will boast at least 19-inch wheels, AMG performance exhaust, 8.4-inch COMAND Online infotainment and an adjustable electronic rear wing.

The GT S pumps up the wheels to 20 inches, turns the mechanical limited slip differential up to 11 into an electronic one and brings the visual ID of red brake calipers (the discs are larger too).

And the Edition 1? This is a little more standout than the beautiful standard cars, with features including fixed rear wing, deeper front splitter, aero flicks ahead of the front wings, carbon roof and black detailing.

There’s a full range of options for the Mercedes-AMG GT too, from a £1795 AMG Dynamic Plus Package (dynamic engine mounts) to AMG high-performance ceramic composite brakes, a snip at £5995.
