Honda motorcycle training

Buy a bike, learn how to ride it – Honda dealers can now literally help people saddle up and go

Wannabe motorcyclists in the South of England will soon be able to train at a new Honda School of Motorcycling.

The news comes as Honda launches its first four licensed motorcycle training centres at bike dealers, offering courses under license from Honda UK and authorised by the Driver and Vehicle Standards Authority (DVSA).

Four motorcycle dealers will offer the training, namely 21st Motor in Swanley, Belle Vue Motorcycles in Southend, P&H Motorcycles in Crawley and Doble Motorcycles in Coulsdon, Surrey.

Each centre will offer CBT, conversion courses, refresher training and full licence qualification. All training will be carried out to Institute of Motor Industry (IMI) standards using bikes no more than 12 months old.

The new Honda School of Motorcycling is part of Honda UK’s commitment to make it easier for new riders to get on their bike, whilst encouraging lapsed riders to return to the saddle.

Figures suggest there are 1.2 million bikers in the UK and a further four million lapsed riders. This is not to mention the 50 million or so adults who have never considered riding a motorcycle.

Honda UK is planning another 36 licensed Honda School of Motorcycling centres within the next two years, making training available across the country.
