Ordering is now open for the Ford Mustang Bullitt special edition, with prices starting from £47,145 and first deliveries due in September 2018.
And the crowds are sure to be impressed, because this is an exceptional special edition. Boasting a unique paint option, Dark Highland Green (you can also have Shadow Black, but seriously, why would you?), the tastefully-finished Mustang boasts unique 19-inch Bullitt High Gloss black-finish alloys, red-painted Brembo brake calipers, and bespoke Bullitt grille, splitter and rear badge.
Inside, the Recaro leather seats have green detailing, and there’s another Bullitt badge on the instrument panel, each carrying the car’s unique chassis number. Ford has also developed an oh-so-desirable white cue ball gearknob.
- Could the original Mustang Bullitt become a $4 million car?
- America’s rarest cars on display at the Capital
Naturally, the Bullitt Mustang is a 5.0-litre V8, with power upped to 459hp. Stirring that cue ball will be a bit more seamless thanks to standard rev-matching technology – it even gives a ‘blip’ each time you change down. It may have standard 1,000 watt B&O Play 12-speaker premium audio but, if you’re like us, you probably won’t be listening to it.
Ford has confirmed ordering for the UK Mustang Bullitt will remain open until June 2019, meaning you have a full year to buy what will surely prove one of the most collectable Mustangs ever. Best get saving…
