Ford Fiesta ST

There’s one car we’re all won over by here at MR: the Ford Fiesta ST. It’s a genuine hot hatch great.

There’s a great new deal on it too: you can drive one too for just £199 a month, thanks to an impressive personal lease package from Ford.

When you consider that the Peugeot 208 GTi is currently on offer for £249 a month, the Fiesta ST appears a stonkingly good buy. Well, lease. You know what we mean.

And Ford will even chuck in the style pack free of charge – saving £275. With that, you get the 17-inch alloys painted grey, illuminated scuff plates and red brake calipers.

So, down to the nitty gritty – there’s an advanced payment of £4776 followed by 35 monthly rentals of £199. You will get charged if there’s excessive wear and tear or you exceed 9000 miles a year (extra miles are charged at 5.33p each – not horrendous).

And, unfortunately, you have to give the car back after three years.

Of course, if leasing isn’t the way you want to go, you can also pick up some pre-registered bargains. Lookers is offering a saving of over £2,000 on this brand new 13-registered ST. No, you won’t get the latest plate, but that’s a good chunk off considering there’s a waiting list of three months on new cars.

There you have it – you can be driving around in one of our favourite hot hatches for not a lot of money. And the best bit? For an extra £599 plus an hour’s labour you can fit the Mountune performance packing, which recently impressed MR’s Peter Burgess.

We heartily recommend it. Why? More on that soon too…
