Ferrari Mondiali 2018 racing finals at MonzaOver 30,000 tifosi faithful were on hand at the famed Monza racetrack in Italy on Sunday to celebrate the four champions of the Pirelli Challenge racing series.

Attendees included fans, members of the Scuderia Ferrari Clubs, and many Ferrari employees. The company brought nearly 100 cars to displa including four F60s Formula 1 cars, F1 Clienti single-seaters, 488 GTEs,  488 GT3s, and many other classic and historic models.

Over the four days of the event, more than 50,000 spectators watched the final chapters of 2018 series, undeterred by the rain that disrupted the first races of the weekend.

On the final day of racing, fans literally invaded the paddock to a closer look at the track and the 40 legendary cars on display. The new 488 Pista Spider and Monza SP1 and SP2 were star attractions. Ten lucky employees also had the experience of a lifetime: a hot lap in a 488 GTB of the Corso Pilota alongside one of the Competizioni GT drivers.

Fabienne Wohlwend made history by winning the Trofeo Pirelli Am championship, the first woman to do so in series history. The twenty year-old from Liechtenstein drove the 488 Challenge of team Octane 126.

Her first Ferrari Challenge race victory was at Imola in October 2017, when she became the first female driver to win a race in the Coppa Shell. She finished third in that championship. The 5’ 4” driver will turn 21 on November 7.

Dane Nicklas Nielsen took the 2018 Trofeo Pirelli title after a tough battle with Italian David Fumanelli. Switzerland’s Christophe Hurni won the Coppa Shell, while Sweden’s Ingvar Mattsson triumphed in the Coppa Shell Am.
