And it couldn’t resist inviting four excited, athletic-looking people armed with a free supply of Colour Run powder to liven up the photoshoot for the new commemorative car.
Officially (and clumsily) called the Renault Twingo THE COLOUR RUN Special Edition, the £10,495 car gets Colour Run floor mats, unique alloys and the air con, Bluetooth and R&GO smartphone-connecting touchscreen infotainment haul that’s already standard on the Twingo Play.
Renault also fits a panoramic fabric roof as standard, and lets buyers choose from any body colour, including the standout Ultraviolet metallic, plus any compatible ‘Exterior Touch Pack’ and ‘Interior Style Pack’. Only the SCe 70 petrol engine is offered, rather than the punchier TCe 90 turbo.
Compared to a Twingo Play, the Twingo (ahem) THE COLOUR RUN Special Edition costs £800 less than a Play fitted with the same options.
Weirdly, the Colour Run exterior stickers pictured here are a cost-option.
Twingo Colour Run ordering is open now and if you want to see it in colourful display at a Colour Run 5km event, visit one of the events to see more:
