Citroen launches DS3 Pink

Citroen DS3 PinkCitroen has introduced a new DS3 special edition that’s guaranteed to make heads turn. Yes, the DS3 Pink is official.

The news comes a month after we speculated on the arrival of a pink DS3 after seeing a pink DS3 concept at Clothes Show Live.

Fortunately, the DS3 Pink special edition isn’t actually pink. It’s black or silver, but comes with various pink bits – including the roof and door mirrors. The wheels escape the pink treatment and match the colour of the bodywork… phew!

Inside there’s more pink, with a rather bright fuchsia dashboard. Even the gear knob gets a splash of pink.

The DS3 Pink is based on DStyle and DSport versions of the DS3, and is available with a choice of engines.

Prices start at £15,675 (just £300 more than the standard model) for the DStyle Pink with the 120hp VTi petrol engine. This comes with the usual DStyle kit plus 16-inch alloys and an upgraded sound system with extra speakers.

The DS3 Pink DSport starts at £17,800 with the sporty 155hp 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine, rising up to £18,075 for the 115hp e-HDI diesel engine. This comes with 17-inch alloys and the ‘City Signature’ pack which adds automatic headlights and wipers, rear parking sensors, heated and electric folding door mirrors and a front central armrest.

Citroen dealers are now taking orders for the DS3 Pink, with deliveries starting soon.

Are you tempted to go pink with the DS3? Or are you dreading seeing one on the roads? Let us know.
