The Chris Evans car collectionChris Evans has revealed he’s filming a Top Gear sequence this week – and has cryptically said he’ll then ‘see how it goes’.

Speaking on Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch, presenter Tim Lovejoy mischievously asked Evans if he’d started to present Top Gear yet.

Who could replace Jeremy Clarkson on Top Gear?

Surprisingly, petrolhead Evans replied: “Not started yet, but we are doing a secret Top Gear film on Tuesday”.

When Lovejoy pointed out that it was not so secret now, Evans said it still will be, “because nobody knows where it’s going to be.

“We’re making a Top Gear – we’re doing a Top Gear sequence with an independent production company and we’re going to see how it goes.”

Cue former Top Gear presenter Jeremy Clarkson via Twitter: “Next week, I’m doing a pilot Radio 2 breakfast show with an independent production company. We’ll see how it goes.”
