When the largest mid-week car show in the United Kingdom takes place on your doorstep, surely it would be rude not to attend? That is the situation for Motoring Research, which sees the annual Classics on the Common event take place in our hometown of Harpenden.
This year was particularly special, as the show celebrated a 25th anniversary. With up to 1,000 cars turning up in the searing heatwave, it was hot work to check out all the classics on offer. Members of the Motoring Research team picked out their particular favourites, and you can see all the action with our exclusive video.
We have also tested out two new cars this week, with first drives of both the latest Kia Ceed and the third-generation Volkswagen Touraeg. There is also the usual mixture of features, opinion and news for you to catch up on, too.

- Find out what the average monthly finance payments are for new cars.
- Lexus has made a special ‘art car‘ to celebrate the F performance sub-brand.
- Teenagers are more at risk from driving than they are guns or knife crime.
- Electric car owners will be encouraged to charge batteries at off-peak times.
- You could spend up to £38,000 on the range-topping Skoda Kodiaq.
