The new BMW M4 Coupe has been revealed and looks fantastic… but customers won’t be able to try one until next June.

However, players of Sony’s newly released Gran Turismo 6 will be able to try the new BMW M4 Coupe before anyone else – virtually, at least.

As part of a collaboration between BMW and GT6, gamers will be able to download the new M4 Coupe and, for the next two weeks, take part in a special virtual event.

From today until December 26, players will be able to drive the BMW M4 Coupe on the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit as part of BMW M4 Coupe Superlap challenge.

Gran Turismo designer Kazunori Yamauchi said: “It is always wonderful to be able to bring to life a brand new car and I would like to thank BMW for trusting us with all of the data we needed to create the BMW M4 Coupe at such an early stage.”

The announcement explains why a camouflaged BMW M4 Coupe was spotted at the GT6 launch event in Ronda, southern Spain.

Yamauchi added: “I felt very privileged to have a few laps around Ascari during the Gran Turismo 6 launch event and I am sure that Gran Turismo fans will now enjoy the same experience as well as the novelty of being among the first in the world to try the BMW M4 Coupe.”

The BMW M4 Coupe will be one of over 1,200 cars featured in the game. Oh, and if you’re not familiar with the Gran Turismo series (what?! -Ed), check out our handy guide.
