Bentley has launched a new brand partnership with its luxury equivalent in the world of pens, Graf von Faber-Castell. The range is now on sale in specialist shops and selected Bentley dealers, with prices starting from £250.
The initial range comprises a ballpoint pen, a rollerball pen (for £295) and a fountain pen (for £350). And what’s the perfect way to protect your new high-end Faber-Castell Bentley pen? Why, a grey leather case: yours for £195.
The two firms don’t plan to stop with the launch range, they add. The ‘Graf von Faber-Castell for Bentley’ collection will be expanded in coming months with more luxury writing instruments.
Bentley’s styling team has apparently worked closely with Faber-Castell to design the new pens. The Crewe firm insists they “share many of the key design cues identified in Bentley models”.
Such as? Bentley’s much-loved knurling features on the pen caps, as does a Bentley ‘B’. The pens have highly-polished elements, and the Bentley diamond pattern is there as “an ergonomic and aesthetic enhancement”.
You can choose from several modern Bentley colours: Sequin Blue, anthracite Tungsten or White Satin. Multiple coats of paint give the depth you’d expect of a Bentley.
Even the leather case is no ordinary leather. It’s made from Italian calfskin, and is hand-sewn, “like the interior of a Bentley”. As the pens are plated in platinum, it sounds like a wise investment.
