SsangYong now offers the best new car warranty in the UK, with a seven-year, 150,000-mile package that was introduced for the new Musso pickup and now extended to the Rexton SUV.
And those who have already bought a Rexton aren’t being left out, either: SsangYong introduced the seven-year package on 1 July but has retrospectively extended it to all new Rexton sold since launch.
What do Rexton owners need to do? Simply speak with their dealer at their next service, and they’ll action the upgrade.
“No other pick-up or SUV comes with such comprehensive reassurance, and without the small-print of so many other manufacturer warranties,” said SsangYong Motor UK MD Nick Laird.
The seven-year SsangYong warranty can even be extended to other models in the range: vehicles purchased since 1 January 2018 can be upgraded for £500.
The firm stresses the package is “totally transparent’ and includes major mechanical components such as:
- Wheel bearings
- Suspension joints
- Suspension bushes
- Steering joints
Even the infotainment system is included in the seven-year warranty package.
Wearable items such as clutches and brake discs are not covered for seven years, but do come with a one-year, 12,500-mile promise, while the battery and paint are covered for three years.
