Harley-Davidson has announced its latest special offers in time for the start of the spring riding season. And the iconic American motorcycle brand has a headline deal pitched to disprove the myth that owning a Harley is an unobtainable dream.
With a £1,199 deposit, an entry-level Harley-Davidson Street 750 can be yours for a meagre £65 a month, over a three-year ‘Harley Own’ PCP scheme. The final payment is £3,164, for a total amount payable of £6,703 – not bad, given how the motorcycle itself costs £5,995.
Yes, £5,995, for a brand-new Harley. “Research by the brand shows that motorcyclists believe… (them) to have a £15k-plus price tag,” says a Harley spokesperson. No wonder the promo campaign’s tagline is “surprise yourself”.
Other machines boast special deals, too. The more agile Street Rod costs from £75 a month and the entry-level model to the authentic Harley-style motorcycle range, the Iron 883, costs £99 a month, with a £1,779 deposit. A muscle-look Forty-Eight and café racer Roadster are also priced at £99 a month.
And if you want a new-for-2018 model, the Street Bob is yours from £129 a month, with a deposit of £2,459.
All offers run until 31 May 2018; start out with a test ride and, says Harley, so long as you do this before the end of May, you could win a ‘dream ride’ to Prague, to attend the Harley-Davidson 115th Anniversary event.
Who knows, you might even end up riding away on a new Harley for less than the price of a monthly mobile phone subscription…
